A little history...
My name...Gayle (Sherritt) Sanchirico and I've been drawing, creating, arranging things and painting since my childhood in Columbus, Ohio. Encouragement came from my teachers, winning my first art awards in elementary and selling my first painting to the lunch lady in high school. Upon graduating I received a talent scholarship to Columbus Collage of Art and Design.
Eventually (this is where the arranging things comes in), I was drawn to a creative career in retail Visual Merchandising and Presentation. I designed, implemented and directed merchandising displays, including animated Holiday installations. Over the years I've continued to be involved in the Fine Arts by attending various art courses and workshops while relocating with my family several times across the country. Once landing in Brighton, Michigan, I became an active member of the Brighton Art Guild at it's beginning in 1999. This association inspired me to exhibit and compete, receiving numerous awards and honors, also creating new opportunities to sell my work. I continue to make art from my home studio.
